Well it's been a very long time, hasn't it? A couple of days ago we had this terrible thunder and lightning with heavy rain. It was like armageddon and sounded like World War 3! Really the thinder was so loud it was like it was actually right next to u. My dog was barking at the beginning, but then went quite cause she got scared. It went on for about an hour or so. A couple of people were killed and quite a few electrical equipments like some computers got damamged. I switched mine off and removed the plug. Plenty smart, no???
I saw the Latin Grammy Awards last night. Some of the artists are pure crap. While I must admit that Flamenco music is really excellent and the guitar players spend years practising their art, Hispanic-Pop is utter nonsense. With very few expections, the singers are all built up on hype. Shakira was there, but I can't stand her that much. She does shake her great ass real fine, but who can feel attracted to her, after she sung "Lucky that my breasts are small & humble, so u don;t confuse them with mountains. Lady please!
On another note, Santana played. I have to say, that although he deserves his current success, I used to be a fan of Santana years before "Supernatural" came out. I found out about his music thru word or mouth, from my cousins & uncles who dig his music. Then I also enjoyed the few music videos that they showed on MTV & Channel V from his albums upto "Supernatural". What I don;t like is that he is associating himself with some artists, simple because they are popular. Last night he played with POD ???? They might be Latin, but they suck. And I mean SUCK. Santana's guitar blazed throughout the song, but the singer of POD is so bad. He should get his throat checked. Santana + POD is like Chocolate Icecream with Charcoal!!!! I hate the fact that he played with acts like Eagel-Eye Cherry, Lauryn Hill (yuck). I wonder who he has on the new album "Shaman" other than POD & Michelle Branch.
