Ok, Chelsea are the new EPL champs, they have made the semi-finals of the Champions league two years in a row. But the fact that they are now better than Manchester United was drilled home last night when they beat United 3-1 at Old Trafford. To go to Manchester's den and beat them convisingly was truly a statement of how far Roman Abrahomovic's money & Jose Mourinho's gile has taken the team. Ofcourse you don't get the glory of winning trophies without the star players & Chelsea have that too, in abundance. Eidur Gudjohnsen, Joe Cole & Tiago scored for the Blues, all goals coming in after Ruud Van Nistelrooy's early flick on. At that phase of the match, it seemed like United were a team out to prove a point. But the onslaught of Blues' attack diminished the efforts of United.

I saw STAR TREK : NEMESIS last night. Labelled a crew's last mission, it is slated to be the last Star Trek movie to be made. It's a shame if they stop making the movies cause I am such a big fan. They killed Data in this one, but since his memory was downloaded into the prototype anderoid, he is sure to live on. It's also weird that only a the two most popular captains of Star Trek (Willian Shatner & Patrick Stewart), were able to establish themselves in other shows or in movies. Everyonelse has had mediocre success outside of the Star Trek franchise.

Babe of the week - MARINA SIRTIS

Marina Sirtis played Counselor Deana Troi in the Star Trek series. She was a regular cast member in the Next Generation series from 1987-1994 & had several guest spots in Voyager. She also starred in 3 of the Star Trek movies. She definetly is one woman who actually looks better & sexier the older she gets. As far as I can remember she is British with Greek heritage.

Something that had missed my attention, although how it happened I am not sure. Europe, yes the Stockholm, Sweden band that at one time in 1986 had a number one single is just about every developed nation & several developing ones, have reunited in their classic lineup of Joey Tempest on vocals, Mic Michelle on keyboards, John Leven on bass, Ian Haughland on drums & John Norum on guitar and a new album is either out now on will be soon. Norwegian born John Norum (although he was raised in Sweden since he was a year old, he maintains that he is Norwegian) had left the band at their peak in 1986 citing different musical interests & his replacement Kee Marcello had done well for them. But in truth the enigmatic Morum was really missed as his partnership with his childhood buddy Joey Tempest was the driving force that steered Europe. It's great to see that they are back - older, wiser & in Haughland's case bald!! I will be looking out for their latest album, partly for the nostalgia factor and partly because I know it's gonna be good.

Song for the day - "Final Countdown" - EUROPE
