James Doohan died yesterday. For those of you who didn't know who he was, Doohan was "James Montgomery Scott" aka "Scotty" in the original Star Trek series. Scotty was the chief Engineer of the starship. I have always loved the Star Trek series and often thought that they could never duplicate the characters of the original series. They had so much more depth & colour. Doohan as Scotty had his famous lines : "I just can't do it Captain. I just don't have the power" in his fake Scottish accent. Also any Trekkie will always say "Beam Me Up Scotty"!! He will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace Mr.Doohan.

I saw the movie House Of A 1000 Corpses late last night. Now normally I love watching horror / ghosts / vampire / werewolf / slasher or any erie movie of any sort. I have seen some good ones, some great ones, some okay ones and some downright shitty ones over the years. Some come under categories I cannot define in terms of quality. Like this one over here. It was so bloody (infact it came with a warning by HBO that it contained very violent scenes). True to the warning I was treated to maiming, cutting & killing for...absolutely no reason whatever. To be truthful what did I expect, when the movie was directed & written by this guy over here - Rob Zombie!! This is what he looks like in real life!! Yuck yuck. No, actually I watched the movie just because he was associated with it. Now I regret my decision.

I was sad to hear about Scotty, and have posted about it as you have. Dr. McCoy and now Scotty, it's a shame.
