What a shock - Ryan Vikedal, drummer of Nickelback as been fired from his band. The reason not given. Ryan Vikedal has been one of my favourite drummers ever since I heard Nickelback for the first time in late 2001. His replacement is going to be Daniel Adair, the drummer for Three Doors Down. Adair is also from, Vancouver, where Nickelback are based and he met Nickelback when the two bands toured together last year. Nickelback have already a new album in the works. Meantime, Vikedal is going to study music at the Berklee College Of Music in Boston. The Edmonton born drummer has also played with rocker turned country singer Corb Lund.

I am an avid Wrestling fan - I know it is fake or whatever word you may want to associate with it, but it sure is fun to watch. And I have my fav wrestlers & rivaries. One that my friends & I are excited about is Shawn Michaels vs Edge. I am a huge Edge fan, along with a cousin of mine. And I think he should become WWE Champ sometime soon. And I can't stand the showstopper, HBK, Michaels. Keep your eye on this rivalry.

Bought the 2003 released Jesse Cook CD "Nomad" last afternoon. I also got two best of albums ("Greatest Hits" of Queensryche & the two tape best of Steve Vai). Those two will come in for a review later. Right now I want to discuss Jesse Cook, who gets my vote for best acoustic finger style guitar player in the world.

"Nomad" is the fifth studio album that the Toronto based Cook has released. This album has a lot of Arabic music influences, especially on the tracks that he recorded in Cairo. Although this albums is the weakes of the three that I have (1998's "Gravity" & 2000's "Free Fall") it still is a good enough album that I will continue to listen to, years from now. It contains various collaborations with Arab, Brazilian, Canadian & Armenian musicians & instruments. Please check it out.

Song for the day - "Surrender" - JESSE COOK
