Caught some action from the English Premier league. Chelsea is going from strength to strength week after week. Soon, if nothing changes, they will be too far ahead to get caught. Manchester United played at Fulham and edged out a 1-0 win that they just, only just managed to avoid being a draw. Arsenal also won 1-0 at Blackburn.

The Gunners victory was special, since the goal was scored by young Dutch player Robin Van Persie, who was not originally supposed to be in the starting lineup. Due to the various injuries plaguing the team, Van Persie was sent in at the last moment as a makeshift striker (he is more of an attacking midfielder) and not only did he end up with the winning goal but he almost had a second which he created deftly himself and was rather unlucky not to have scored.

One of my favourite series on tv and certainly one of the best cop dramas I have ever seen is Cold Squad, based in Vancouver, British COlumbia and the episodes are inspired by actual Cold Cases. The makers of the award winning series (and also it seems the pioneer for other Crime scene based police dramas in America like Cold Case, CSI & CSI Miami) this series cares little for the love stories and other typical "masala" that normally peppers series that revolves around cops. It goes straight for the jugular with some really hard hitting episodes (the only other show that I can compare it with and that I have seen is Law & Order : Special Victims Unit) that have haunted me long after I have switched the television off.

The Song for the day is by one of my fav female singer, Canada's country singing cutie Lisa Brokop. This sweet & beautiful woman sung her way into my heart with several good pop-country singles that I downloaded from the net. Unfortunately none of her Cds are available here, I checked a lot. Unless I suddenly find myself with lots of cash, I don't think I will be able to order her music online. Anyway, she is still a favourite of mine.
