For the first time in what has been 18 months at my current company, I went in for the early morning shift - 6am to 3pm. This after working the prevous night from 3 pm to 12 am!! I left the office last night at 12 sharp and closed my eye to go tosleep at exactly 12:30. What little sleep I got was shattered by the sound of the alarm on my cell phone at 4:30 am. I dragged myself to my feet and got a cup of bitter tasting coffee and switched the tv on for a bit. I kept surfing channels until I came to SS Music, knowing that they play great music videos & songs from late night till about 8 am. The Scorpions tribute to the human spirit, particularly of the Russians after the Soviet Union collapsed and their country finaly got democracy in 19889/90, was just starting. Listening to that wonderful peice of history in the form of a song at that early time of the day made me wonder; will they ever make such great tunes ever again? It doesn't get any better than this. I can remember listening to the song over & over again with my cousins & later my friends during the years 1990/91/92/93. Those were great years for me - 14 to 17.
