Brazil were were very lucky to qualify for the Confederations Cup semi-finals after drawing 2-2 with Japan. The Japanese playing under Brazilian coach Zico, came back twice to score goals and give the world champions a scare. Mexico finished on top of the group and had also beaten Brazil 1-0 previously. They drew 0-0 with Greece who managed to salvage some sort of pride after losing to Japan & Brazil.

One of the funniest actors in the world is Matthew Perry aka Chandler Bing of the now defunct FRIENDS. He has also acted in several cool movies like The Whole 9 Yards, Almost Heros, Servicing Sara & Three To Tango. I have always maintained that he is/was the funniest FRIEND and one of the nicest guys in Hollywood.

28 Todd White, C Height/Weight: 5-10/198 Birthdate: 05/21/1975 Birthplace: Kanata, Ontario, Canada Team: Ottawa Senators College: Clarkson

In Ottawa, center Todd White quietly, the 5-foot-10, 185-pound White became a good fit in coach Jacques Martin's system, White averaged nearly 18 minutes per night. He contributed goals and assists on the club's second-ranked power play. In the 2001-2002 season, in 12 playoff games, White contributed just four points. From that time around, he started improving. A graduate of the CJHL's Kanata Valley Lasers, Todd White played four seasons at Clarkson University where he was named an NCAA All-Star, an NCAA All-American and a Hobey Baker finalist before signing a free agent contract with the Chicago Blackhawks in 1997. With the 'Hawks farm team, the Indianapolis Ice, White was an instant success. In 65 games he lit the lamp 46 times and added 36 assists and was named the IHL's Top Rookie. His impressive production earned him a call up to Chicago where he made his NHL debut. White played seven games in the Windy City and was able to score one goal. The following year he played 35 games for the Blackhawks and managed 13 points. In 1999-00 White played just a single game with the Chicago before heading to the minors. On January 26 the 'Hawks traded White to the Philadelphia Flyers for future considerations. Though the Flyers summoned White for one game, his season was primarily spent in the minors. When his contract expired that summer, the former Golden Knight signed a free agent with the Ottawa Senators. Though he played the bulk of the schedule with Ottawa's IHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, at the end of the year he had worked his way into the Senators lineup for 16 games, as well as two playoff games. In the fall of 2001 White had a solid training camp for Senators, and with the off-season departures of Mike Sillinger and Alexei Yashin he had a great opportunity to find a full-time job in Ottawa. White earned a spot and made the most of his chance by scoring 20 goals and 50 points; which tied him for fourth in points on the team. An offensively gifted player, White improved on his offensive totals in 2002-03, finishing the campaign with 25 goals and 60 points and was a solid plus-19 helping the Sens reach the Eastern Conference final before losing out in a hard-fought seven game series to the New Jersey Devils.

We have an Ottawa theme in this entry with White, Perry & the artist who sand our song for the day all from this city. Ottawa is also the home of my favourite hockey team - the OTTAWA SENATORS.
