I was watching this Science program on BBC late last night about Gamma Rays. Scientists & Astronomers were wondering about where these Gamma Rays were being emitted from. Their search lead to Neutron stars. Neutron stars are the collapsed cores of some massive stars. They pack roughly the mass of our Sun into a region the size of a city. These stars also have the strongest magnetic fields in the known universe. The stars that eventually become neutron stars are thought to start out with about 15 to 30 times the mass of our sun. Gamma Rays can be emitted from Neutron Stars when an object falls into it, like an asteroid. Below is an artist's conception of a neutron star. It sits in the centre of a disk of gas that spirals towards it, eventually causing a runaway nuclear reaction on the surface, visible as a flash of X-rays from across the galaxy.

AC Milan and Juventus lock horns in an eagerly anticipated clash sure to polarise opinion. Both clubs have been almost insperable this season in the Italian league. I'm thinking that Juventus will hav more than just pride at stake. Milan are in the finals of the Champions League, no matter how hard their trip there was and no matter the huge portion of luck that seems to be on their side for them to achieve that feat. They face Liverpool, the side that beat Juventus in the quaterfinals. If Milan win the Champions League as well as the Scudetto and beat Juventus in this match, it will be more than what the Turin faithful will be able to stand. Heads will surely role if that comes to be. But, win this match and the race of the Italian title, things will be more rosier going into the summer break. Juventus certainly have the pressure on them; it's going to be a great match.

Arguably one of my favourite songs from the Bay Area thrashers aka the Mighty Behemoth aka Metallica.
