Chelsea are almost there - the title is just a point away. With their 3-1 win over Fulham, the Blues could even wrap things up on Monday if London rivals & defending champions Arsenal fail to win their match against Tottenham. Joe Cole, Frank Lampard & Eidur Gudjohnsen were the goal scorers. The appreance in the second half as a substitute by winger Arjen Robben was also a boost for Chelsea. Liverpool failed to keep the pressure up on Everton for the fourth place when they lost to Crystal Palace on an Andy Johnson goal. Bolton & Aston Villa drew 1-1.

In Spain, Real Madrid kept up the pressure on Barcelona as they came from behind to defeat Villarreal but saw Zinedine Zidane and Walter Samuel sent off. Goals from Ronaldo & Michel Salgado were enough to see of Villareal despite Madrid going behind on a Riquelme penalty. And in the Bundesliga, Bayern Munich are close to warpping things up by beating Bochum 3-1 with goals from Michael Ballack, Claudio Pizzaro & Roy Makaay.
