I am so tired. I got home at 1:00am last night, watched tv till about 2:30 am. Then I turned the lights out and tried to go to sleep. Yeah right!! I tossed and turned and counted a thousand sheep, but the sandman didn't visit me. Also it was a hot & humid night and the sheets stuck to my legs and I was sweating a lot. I twisted around in the sheets till about 4:15, after which I went upstairs and tried another bed. No luck again, so I called up Jiji at around 5:20 and told her to call me after she reaches the office. Both she and Maggie were at the office at 6 and they called me and we chatted till about 6:20 when......finally my eyes shut themselves...only to wake up at 9:45. I spent the day feeling like Tom in those Tom & Jerry cartoons in which Tom comes back home in the morning after a long night out partying with the other cats and he has to stick match-sticks between his eyelids or tape them open cause he's very tired & sleepy.

Babe of the week - JAYNE HEITMEYER

When it comes to musical trios, Rush is at the top of the list. Ever since the 1970s, the Toronto band - consisting of Geddy Lee on bass, vocals & keyboards, Neil Peart on drums & Alex Lifeson on guitars - have been making great music and performing to arenas filled with their fans. And they have done it with hardly any help from Mtv and other channels.

They were never a hit singles band (although they had a few biggies like "Tom Sawyer") but they delivered consistently good albums throught the years. They were labelled as "thinking man's rock" due to Peart's lyrics inspired from mythology, philosophy & literature. That combined with excellent tunes from Lee & Lifeson made them the legends of rock that they rightly deserve to be.
