Sometimes I hate living in Thrikkakara - the town I've called home since 1987. It's quite, peaceful & serene on most days, but it can be really dusty and often looks like a ghost town on Sunday afternoons and national holidays. Add to the fact that this route has about 100,000 people and what, 12 buses plying through daily! Yesterday was so bad, 2 buses passed me by at the bus stop, filled with people going who-the-fuck-knows-where!! In the first bus there wasn't even enough space for even a fly. People were grabbing onto the bars on the doors. Where the fuck are they going off to; me I work on Sundays!! The second one was just a tiny bit better, but there was no way that I was going to balance myself on one foot and hang onto the bar at the door. Those days I hate my town and I wish I could just pack my bags and leave.

Hulk Hogan is to be honoured at the 21st Wrestlemania event at Los Angeles, where he will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Did you know that his real name is Terry Bollea??!!! I think he now lives in Tampa Bay, Florida (cause I saw him supporting the Tampa Bay Lightning during the 2004 Stanley Cup). Hogan, who has acted in several films & tv shows will be honoured by Sylvester Stallone. I can remember watching Hulk Hogan on tv since I was a toddler, many kids imitating his signature flexing of the muscles. I tried to tear a t shirt the way he does and my mom caught me and gave a whack on the ear. Hurt more than an elbow drop would. Whatcha gonna do, brother, when the Hulkamaniacs run wild over you??!!

Spanish La Liga action - Barcelona had a wonderful match against Real Betis a thrilling 3-3 draw in which Betis were down to 10 men. Barca had two penalities converted by striker Samuel Etoo, but Betis took the lead thanks to a brace by Spanish International winger Joaquin (picture above left) & one by Oliveira. Barcelona managed to get a draw in injury time, when Giovanni Van Bronchorst (pictured top right) raced onto a chipped passed and lobbed the Betis goalkepper. Michael Owen scored the winner for Real Madrid as they beat lowly Albacete 2-1 away, in a match that they were lucky not to have drawn or lost. Elsewhere Diego Tristan scored the lone goal in a win for Deportivo La Coruna at Levante.

Strange days are these at Newcastle United. Lee Bowyer & Keiron Dwyer disgraced themselves by fighting against each other in the middle of the pitch and getting sent off - and they play for the same team. Oh and Newcastle lost to Aston Villa 3-0!! In Holland, Guus Hiddink's in form side PSV Eindhoven cruised to a comfortable 2-0 win against Utrecht on Saturday evening with first half goals from Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Ji-Sung Park. They are now 10 points clear of second place AZ Alkmaar.

Terri Lyn Clark, is one of my favourite singers and my favourite country singer barr none (even Shania Twain). The Medicine Hat, Alberta raised Clark has had several Country hits since she made her debut with the eponymous "Terri Clark". Several singles, numerous awards, 5 studio albums & a Greatest Hits package later Terri is where she wants to be - at the top of the Country Music scene.

Song for the day - "Unsung Hero" - TERRI CLARK
