Although Chelsea FC is a very strong team filled with stars & potential superstars, the way they beat teutonic Bayern Munich came as a shock to me and probably to the rest of the football world. The 4-2 win came curtesey of two goals by midfielder Frank Lampard and one each by Joe Cole & Ivorian striker Didier Drogba. Munich replied with 2 goals, one of which was an injury time penalty by Michael Ballack. Bastian Schweinsteiger scored the other goal for Bayern. But the fact that super goalie Oliver Kahn was stumped by 4 goals will worry the German giants. In the final quaterfinal, the Milan derby, AC Milan triumped over city rivals Inter by 2 goals to nil. Dutch defender Jaap Stam with a header and Ukranian striker Andriy Shevachenko were the scorers. The return legs are posied for a great finale. I hope to catch them live on tv.
