In the Confederations Cup first semi-final, Brazil edged out hosts Germany 3-2 with two goals from Adriano. Twice the youngish German side came back from a goal down to equalize but were not a third time lucky. Adriano open the scoring which was cancelled out by Lukas Podolski. Both sides scored via a penalty each in the first half (Ronaldino for Brazil & Michael Ballack for Germany). Looking forward to the Argentina vs Mexico match later on today.

Transfer news : Inter Milan have almost finished the formalities to bring Argentines Santiago Solari & Walter "the wall" Samuel from Real Madrid. Samuel didn't enjoy his first season at the Bernebeau while Solari has had to fight for a place in the starting 11. Atletico Madrid & Deportivo La Coruna are bidding for Javier Saviola from Barcelona.

I saw Happy Gilmore for the second time a few days ago. It's a funny movie although I must say that I'm not a big fan of Adam Sandler as I think he just plays differnt aspects of the same character in each of his movies. But he does have sports angles to some of his movies and that usually makes for fun watching. In this one, he is a failed hockey played who makes it big in the world of professional golf due to his huge shot. Ofcourse there is a babe in the works as well as a grandma who needs to be rescued. It's funny and worthwatching.
